Ian Hodgson

I was born in Aberdare, spent my formative years in Mountain Ash, but from the age of three to the present day I have lived in Ystrad Mynach.

As a small boy I would spend hours scribbling with a pencil and over the years my skills have developed. I have been fortunate enough to attend Art College where I have learnt some invaluable lessons.

The theme for my work is Watercolour and Wildlife as my first love in painting was working in watercolour. Since discovering the works of Carl Brenders my watercolour painting has taken a bit of a back seat and my love of Animal and Wildlife painting has taken over.

Over the past two years I have been fortunate enough to have been selected as a finalist in Roy Chaffin`s PAWS competition, if you would like to view this years entry go to www.roychaffin.com/paws2003
